Title: CPW Lumped Elements Combined Microstrip for a Bandpass Filter Design

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a novel design of a bandpass filter using combined coplanar waveguide (CPW) and microstrip. The filter is composed of the lumped elements implemented by the CPW structure and quarter-wavelength microstrip resonator. Zeros have been implanted in circuit design to reject adjacent channel interferences. The filter is built by cascading three circuit blocks with two of them being the CPW structured lumped
element filtering circuits and the other one, a microstrip resonator, being placed in between. This filter has acquired a very sharp rejection and consequently, a good selectivity. The stopband bandwidth is also very wide in this filter design.
