Abstract:	傳統複合式多媒體文件的播放對於Player 來說，最重要的莫過於媒體間同步關係的維持以及播放時如何維持QoS 的保證(如畫面的流暢度等)。舉例來說，當使用者(Client)按下播放鍵時，需要從伺服器(Server)端下載需要播放的媒體資料至Client 端的Buffer 內，以維持播放時足夠的流暢度，但這需要耗費使用者等待時間的成本以及Buffer 的儲存空間。因此在本文中提出了一個在ATM ABR 下依據SMIL 文件對各媒體的描述，依據當時的頻寬，動態預載接著需播出媒體的資料至Client 端，減少使用者等待的時間，並使Buffer 的使用量最低，而仍能維持媒體的QoS 需求。
