Title:	An Adaptive Prefetching and Scheduling Framework for SMIL QoS Guarantee with Wireless ATM ABR service

Abstract:	由於在無線網路環境下，因MH移動時所造成的有效頻寬變動，導致即時多媒體的傳輸更難以獲得確保。在本文中提出了一個在原有的ATM與WATM的架構下，加入了一個確保SMIL即時多媒體展示服務品質(Quality of service-QoS)的框架(Framework)。此框架包含「服務品質控制層」、「多媒體控制層」與「流量控制層」，以增加上層應用程式與底層網路支援SMIL展示的能力。在此架構下，WATM的基地台或Access Point(AP)除具備原本與Mobile Host(MH)通訊的功能，還需同時具有Proxy Server的能力。在此三層架構下，依據從MH端回傳的資訊，本論文提出一個使用ATM/WATM Available Bit Rate (ABR)服務型態，在Proxy server上整合動態預載(Prefetch)即時多媒體資料到MH端與封包排程(Scheduling)的動態調整演算法，同時減少使用者等待的資料遺失率與Buffer的使用量，以確保SMIL的QoS。
