Abstract: 在本研究當中,主要以第三代(3G)無線通訊網路為架構,實際考量無線網路中,移動裝置(Mobile host)在基地台間換手(Handoff)時,面臨頻寬變動所造成的影響,用以進行多媒體資料流的傳輸控制,確保多媒體視訊於無線網路環境下的服務品質。在研究方法上,將採用位置管理與功率偵測的方式,用以評估無線裝置所能達到的傳輸速率,配合多媒體多種速率(Multi-rate)壓縮傳送的機制,設定Base layer及Enhanced layer多媒體串流,並針對Base layer的傳輸進行預留,當可用頻寬減少時,仍能維持Base layer封包的正常接收,使播放的過程持續不被中斷。同時,為避免預留過多的資源而造成系統資源的浪費,在本系統中將配合Priority的作法,於Scheduling中調整封包傳送的加權值,讓Base layer的封包具有較低的延遲,以順利達成接續的目的。
