A spectral-domain integral equation formulation in conjunction with the method of moments is employed to analyze the coupled cylindrical microstrip lines with a substrate–superstrate configuration. Results indicate that the presence of a cover layer has significant effects on the effective dielectric constant and the characteristic impedance, especially for the odd-mode case. Variations of the curvature and line separation also show substantial effects on the dispersion characteristics of the coupled cylindrical microstrip lines.
