People supposed that it is a period of time to have peak physiologicalfunction during undergraduate. But college students' physical fitnesswere lower than the past in these times and their self concept or selfworth were impacted by media. Therefore, a suitable tactics should beadopted for the young adults in exercise promotion. This article wouldlike to examine if fitness and self-concept affect exerciseparticipation in order to supply a useful reference to physicaleducators. Data were analyzed by t-test, two-wayANOVA, and stepwise. The conclusions were: (1) Most of subjects haveparticipated exercise (75.7%). The exercise frequency is more popularin 1-2 days. Males prefer to participate in intensive exercise amongregular exercise population, and females prefer to moderate exercise.(2) There is significant gender difference in exercise participation.Males are higher than females. (3) High muscular endurance and highscored self-concept plus medium power group have higher exerciseparticipation. (4) Physical fitness can predict exercise participationefficiently.
