Abstract:	本文主要在透過國小五年級數學建模活動的設計與實施，評估實施過程與結果對學生數學素養之影響。為了強化學生的數學素養，研究將採取建模觀點並根據建模活動六個原則來設計學習活動，期望透過數學建模活動改善學生數學解題和理解的問題。本文中所謂建模活動是以引模活動為基礎，引導學生經由四個階段，即：文章閱讀、準備問題、陳述問題和策略分享等過程，從而建構他們解決問題的策略或方法。活動實施之後，研究者發現小組成員都能專注於文章閱讀上，且能很快地進行討論，最後並提出解決方案和同儕一起分享。這樣的結果是不同於講述型的數學課室，在建模活動中學生有高度的參與度並能展現出數學建模的歷程。不僅可達成九年一貫數學領域相關的能力指標，對於數學素養所強調的五股數學能力(Kilpatrick, Swafford & Findell, 2001)，也有均衡的發展，同時促進其問題解決的能力。
