Abstract: Performance of alexandrite laser with Cr:YSO solid-state saturable absorber is numerically studied using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method. Giant laser pulses of 250 mJ in energy and 25 ns in temporal width may be obtained with typical laser configuration.
