Title: PMMA-d8光纖通信用紅光面射型半導體雷射的設計與分析

Abstract: 塑膠光纖廣泛用在中短程光纖通信已是必然的趨勢,使用面射型半導體雷射來取代傳統的發光二極體做為光源的網路系統亦然。PMMA-d8塑膠光纖有一個極低損失的窗,其穿透損失約為18 dB/km,發光波長在655 nm左右。本文利用PICS3D模擬軟體去設計分析具有AlGaAs/AlAs DBR系統的655 nm紅光面射型半導體雷射,並使用Ga0.44In0.56P/(Al0.5Ga0.5)0.5In0.5P多量子井結構為活性層材料。經比較不同形式的面射型半導體雷射的輸出性能,發現選用current spreading結構的面射型半導體雷射可以有比較低的臨界電流。
