Title: A New Method to Identify Fault Current and Inrush Current on Transformerby Jiles-Atherton Model

Abstract: This paper proposes a new method of simulating transformer internal parameters based on voltage and current to detect transformer fault and Deformation. The simulation also shows the difference of parameters resulted by inrush currents and fault currents. We establish a transformer model by Jiles–Atherton theory using measured voltage and current and use Genetic Algorithm (GA) to find the initial parameters and then use Simplex method to estimate transformer internal parameters k and c to easily differentiate between inrush currents and fault currents by measurement data and algorithms.
