Abstract: An electrooptical device based on polymer-dispersed liquid crystal films was fabricated. It is a filter which, under application of a suitable voltage, can convert a Gaussian beam into a beam with a more uniform intensity profile. The fabrication of this device and its electrooptical characteristics are reported.
