题名: 國中資賦優異學生科學過程技能與其相關因素之研究
A Study of Science Process Skills in Seventh and Eighth Grades Gifted Students

摘要: 本研究旨在探討我國國中資賦優異學生科學過程技能的成就,及預測影響國中資賦優異學生科學過程技能的主要因素。本研究對象係以普查方式,取自臺北市、高雄市及臺灣省二十四所國民中學二、三年級資賦優異班學生計1228名。研究結果的重要結論如下:一、邏輯思考、年級、科學態度和父母社經地位等四個變項,可以解釋及預測「科學過程技能」總變異量的16.1%。二、邏輯思考、年級和科學態度等三個變項,可解釋「科學過程技能」總變異量的15.6%。三、邏輯思考的預測力最大,可解釋「科學過程技能」總變異量的10.5%。性別和科學活動二個變項,因未達顯著性,故予以淘汰。四、五項科學過程技能分測驗的難度,對國中資賦優異學生,由難到易的順序為:確認可驗證的佩說→下作型定義→數據及圖形解釋→設計實驗→確認變因。五、國中二、三年級資賦優異學生在科學過程技能測驗上得分的平均數為29.38,標準差為3.43,答對率為81.6%。
The purpose of this study was to investigate the science process skills of gifted students in the Republic of China, as measured by Science Process Skills Test. The multiple regression technique was used to determine which variables contributed to making the prediction. The subjects 1228 seventh grade and eighth grade students, identified as gifted, were selected from 24 junior high schools within the Taiwan Province, Taipei and Kaohsiung regions of Republic of China. The following results were found regarding the science process skills in gifted students: 1) That logical thinking, grade, attitude towards science, and socioeconomic status of parents were significant variables contributing to the prediction of science process skills; and were capable of accounting for 16.1% of the variance on the Science Process skills Test. 2) Logical thinking, grade, and attitude towards science accounted for 15.6% of the variance on the Science Process Skills Test. 3) Logical thinking ability was the strongest predictor and accounted for 10.5% of the variance on the Science Process Skills Test. 4) The order of subtest of science process skills with decreasing difficulty was shown as follows: identifying testable hypotheses, operationally defining, data and graph interpretation, experimental design, identifying variable. 5) The mean and SD scores for all subjects on the Science Process skills Test were 29.38 and 3.43. The overall percentage of correct answers for all subjects was 81.6%.
