Abstract: | Twelve species of marine algae are newly recorded from Taiwan and its offshore islands. These include 3 species of Chlorophyta and 9 species of Rhodophyta. They are Tydeniania expeditions Weber-van Bosse, Udotea argentea Zanardini, Udotea fragilifolia Tseng et Dong, Porphyr a vietnamensis Tanaka er P.-H. Ho. Titanophora pulchra Dawson, Botryocladia lepwpoda (J. Agardh) Kylin, Laurencia nipponica Yamada. L. okcanurai Yamada, L. pcamosa ZanardinL Z.. dotyi Saito, L. haniaia Yamada and L. parvipapillata Tseng. Of these Tydemania and Titanophora are new genera for Taiwan. Their biogeographical affinities are also discussed briefly. |
