Title: The Divergence of Relationship Between U.S.A. and Taiwan on Ideation of Animated Short Film

Abstract: It is found and defined the elements that influence the ideation of animated short film in this study. The divergence relationships of element is explained and built from its deviation Conceptual Maps for ideation of animated short film.
The modified Interactive Qualitative Analysis (m-IQA) approach is used to collect data, to diagnose the cognitive from USA's and Taiwan's experts, and to produce a Conceptual Map. It is found that the ideation of animated short film includes seven Affinities from m-IQA approach. There are two common consensuses that Primary Driver is Concept as the most important element, and Primary Outcome is Sound in animation ideation from results. There are some differences from results: The Metaphor plays as a more important Affinity in USA's experts; but Taiwan's experts consider the Metaphor that is a slight-important Affinity in animation ideation. On the other hand, the element of Character Setup is more important from Taiwan's experts than that of USA's experts. The Conceptual Map was summarized and related from the constituent Affinities that provides a force guide for learner to prompt the ones ability of storytelling from the complicated relationship of Affinities in the ideation of animated short film.
