Title:	實際批評與評點學 Chinese Criticism of Punctuation and Practical Criticism Study

Abstract:	實際批評(practical criticism)一詞本自西方文論之中譯’其後轉義引伸’汎指對作品從事分析’欣賞與評價’謂之實際批評’克里斯(Chris Baldick)謂:「對作品所作的特定分析’分析時’或引用前人理論’或但直接賞讀’現代之起源當始自瑞查茲(I.A.Richards)’其精密閱讀之手法’亦直接影響後來的新批評(new criticism)。」(引自“concise dictionary of literary terms”,New York: oxford university press,2006’ P.176)如此定義’強調作品賞鑑與批評要有理論基礎’又要細部閱讀’可知此手法的實際效用。然而’實際批評一概念雖來自西論’當分名與實之辨證’即在中國學術之古代文論亦富藏實際批評之手法’可惜彼諸方法’或者因不名其為實際批評’或者不援用現代理論之實際批評對觀之’又或者不審中西各自有卓然自成一系統之實際批評’遂導致中式實際批評本有其物’卻罕見學界專注於此領域而有統合研究之成果。案古代文論至六朝已臻其極’《詩品》’《文心雕龍》可為代表’然而清代章學誠《文史通義.詩話》則視此二書為詩話之起源’次又謂明清之評點亦出於此’以章氏乃清季中葉一博通宏儒而言’尚不辨詩話與文心詩品二書之異’何能再進一階’以求文論中之實際批評為何物?其實’章氏與古代諸名家必能知賞鑑一事為何物’亦必擅長實際品味作品之法’此即詩話之論人品文與評點之批語’可惜當時未引用實際批評一概念’本計畫有感於此’首揭實際批評為研究專題’擬就此一評論概念與方法在中文學術領域之源流演變與方法’探一究竟’藉資引導實際批評古為今用之策略’使之應用於當代評論’諸如賞鑑’寫作教學’文學教育’全民閱讀策略、、、等等’當代人文焦點課題’期望研究成果可對中文學界與當代情境提供古今對話與比較之契機。案自文心詩品以下之文論’開始轉向以寫作方法為趨向的文論進路’故而中唐出現像《文鏡秘府論》之作’以及甚多詩格著作’保留在顧龍振《詩學指南》與陳應行《吟窗雜錄》懷悅《名家詩法彙編》等之類的寫作指導方法’即成一時風尚’其中諸多技巧即出自賞鑑與評點作品’論其旨趣’已與西論實際批評相侔’於是詩格’吟譜’摘句批評之後’評點學’乃繼起而大興’此即南宋劉辰翁為代表’下降明清大量的四部評點之作’凡此皆可視之為中式實際批評’本計畫基於如此豐富之古代學術背景下’擬開展古代學術的現代觀’進而細部分析’統整研究’以達致中式實際批評的綜合研究。初期計畫’先從集部做起’規畫兩年期研究’以待研究成果之反省與檢討’擬再擴展為長期之研究’延伸到經部史部與子部之實際批評’但總結以文學為中心的研究。 This project make major topic on Chinese practical criticism. What is the meaning about this term of practical criticism? Originally, it came from western criticism convention get so much heritage from it. Due to a long term of comparative literature study on criticism in Taiwan,have been transforming and stretched in Chinese literature field. Turn out to be affinitied with Chinese thinking way, we name it Chinese punctuation. That is one way of variety of criticism in Chinese literature theory. Chinese punctuation conform the way of closed reading,asked student to analyse a text without any information about its authorship,background or circumstance of composition. Thus encourage any reader to attend to the”words itself”rather than refer to historical context or theory applying. This discipline research included in project want to adopt some new idea that concentrate on Chinese practical criticism. We figure out two years of executive section in project program, chose two typical master on Chinese punctuation, take it as a good way display on Chinese practical criticism.
