Abstract: 中古世紀北歐維京人的海外擴張活動，是高中世界史課程新增的重要課題，本文將討論並釐清以下主題：如何看待維京人的歷史角色？維京人為何向海外四處擴張？維京人擴張與殖民的主要地區－法蘭克王國、不列顛群島、東歐、北大西洋地區，最後總結說明維京人擴張對歐洲社會造成的重大影響。
The Vikings expanding overseas in middle Age is an important Theme in high school history Curriculum. Four topics will be discussed in the paper: 1. The role of Viking in history. 2. What Causes the Viking expanding overseas. 3. The major areas where the Vikings expand and settle in. 4. What impact did the Vikings have on European society.
