摘要: In this paper, a study for electrorheological (ER) fluid in a squeeze mode for broadband frequency vibration attenuation is presented. Semi-active vibration control has been used more extensively because it offers both the reliability of passive systems and the versatility of active control systems. In particular, ER fluid is one of the favourite actuator materials that can be used in smart materials and structures because they offer a fast, reversible, controllable, and continuous change of rheological properties. In the present study, a vibration control technique for ER fluids in the squeeze mode is proposed for broadband vibration control. The controller is designed based on a single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) mechanical model with a frequency counting technique, and is implemented on a single-chip microprocessor. Experimental investigations are carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed controller for reducing the vibration on a squeeze mode test platform. The experimental results indicate that the proposed technique is effective for vibration control of squeeze mode ER fluid systems.
