Abstract: We briefly introduce our recent works on magnetization processes of ferromagnetic rings by micromagnetic simulation and experiments. Three metastable states are found in ring structure. The magnetization process and the corresponding hysteresis loops are investigated, and it is found that planer dimension and thickness significantly influence the switching fields. It is also found that the arrangement and the size of the contact leads have strong impact on the magnetoresistance measurement, so the electrodes have to be taken into account in the design of magnetoresistance measurement.
