Abstract: 摘 要
本研究旨在了解國中學生家庭氣氛、家長參與及學業成就之現況,探討不同背景變項的國中學生在家庭氣氛、家長參與及學業成就上之差異情形,並探討國中學生家庭氣氛、家長參與及學業成就之相關,最後分析國中學生家庭氣氛與家長參與對學業成就之預測作用。
本研究以台中縣、台中市、彰化縣、南投縣四縣市之隨機抽樣,選取684學生為研究對象。本研究所使用之工具為國中學生家庭氣氛、家長參與學校教育量表。所得資料,以描述統計、t考驗、單因子變異數分析、積差相關、多元迴歸分析等方法,進行統計分析。
本研究獲得下列重要發現:
一、一般國中學生之家庭氣氛屬於中上程度,但家長參與則屬於中下程度,故家長對參與學校教育並不踴躍。
二、不同背景變項(性別、子女數、學校規模、社經地位)的國中學生知覺其家庭氣氛,具有顯著差異水準。
三、不同背景變項(年級、家庭型態、學校地區、學校規模、社經地位)的國中學生知覺之家長參與,具有顯著差異水準。
四、不同背景變項(性別、家庭型態、社經地位)的國中學生,其學業成就之差異,達到顯著水準。
五、家庭氣氛與家長參與之間具有顯著相關。換句話說,家庭氣氛越好則參與度會越高;家長參與度越高則有利家庭氣氛營造。
六、家庭氣氛與學業成就之間具有顯著相關。換句話說,家庭氣氛越好,則其子女之學業成就也會越好。

七、家庭氣氛對學業成就具有顯著預測作用,其中尤以「家長教育期望」對學業成就的預測作用最大。
八、家長參與對學業成就具有顯著預測作用,其中尤以「參與學習指導」對學業成就的預測作用最大。
九、國中學生及家長對家庭氣氛之知覺具有顯著差異性。家長對家庭氣氛之滿意度顯著高於學生,其中尤以「家長教育期望」親子差異最大。
十、國中學生及家長對家庭氣氛、家長參與之間具有顯著正相關。故學生及家長對本研究之看法具有很高一致性。
本研究最後根據研究發現與結果,對教育行政單位、教育實務工作者、學生家長及未來研究者提出具體建議。
A Study of Junior High School Students’ Family Atmosphere, Parents’ Participation and Academic Achievements
Abstract

The purpose of the study is to make out (1)the status quo of the family atmosphere, parents’ participation and academic achievements of junior high school students, (2)the exploratory discrepancies in the above-mentioned three aspects in background variables, and(3)the exploratory correlations, the analysis of predictable effects among the family atmosphere, parents’ participation and academic achievements of junior high school students.
The study uses the questionnaire based on the random-sample approach. The 684 subjects are selected from students of various junior high schools in Taichung County, Taichung City, Changhua County and Nantou County. The instrument within the study are the questionnaire on the junior high school students’ family atmosphere, and parents’ participation scale. The gathered data is used to conduct Frequency Distribution, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Product-moment Correlation, Multiple Regression, so as to testify the analysis.
The following is the significant findings of the study:
1.The general junior high school students’ family atmosphere is higher-intermediate, but parents’ participation is lower-intermediate. Parents are not zealous in participating in school education.
2.As to the students’ awareness of the family atmosphere, a significant discrepancy exists in background variables(gender, numbers of children, magnitude of the school, social economic status).
3.As to the students’ awareness of parents’ participation, an obvious discrepancy exists in background variables(grades, types of family, zones of the schools, magnitude of the school, social economic status).
4.As to the students’ academic achievements, a striking discrepancy exists in background variables(gender, types of family, social economic status).
5.There is significant canonical correlation between the family atmosphere and parents’ participation. In other words, the better the family atmosphere, the higher degree of the participation. The higher degree of the participation does good to building up the family atmosphere.
6.There is significant canonical correlation between the family atmosphere and academic achievements. That is, the better the family atmosphere, the better the children’s academic achievements.
7.The family atmosphere has much predictable effect on the academic achievements, especially “parents’ educational anticipation” has the most predictable effect.
8.Parents’ participation has much predictable effect on the academic achievements, especially “participation in learning instruction” has the most predictable effect.
9.As to the awareness of the family atmosphere, a significant discrepancy exists in the junior high school students and their parents. Parents are obviously more satisfied with the family atmosphere than children, especially “parents’ educational anticipation” has the most obvious discrepancy.
10.As to the family atmosphere and parents’ participation, there’s positively canonical correlation between the junior high school students and their parents. So the students and their parents have the same viewpoints about the study.
With the findings and conclusion, the study offers some suggestions for the educational authorities, teachers, students’ parents, and the other researchers.
