摘要: 國民中學英語科教師專業成長與教學效能之相關研究-----以台中縣為例

本研究旨在探討國中英語教師專業成長與教學效能之現況,並分析不同背景變項國中英語教師在專業成長與教學效能上的差異情形,及兩者之間的關連性。本研究係採取問卷調查法,以台中縣國中英語教師為研究對象,並以研究者自編之「國中英語教師專業成長與教學效能之調查問卷」做為研究工具。正式問卷共寄發420份問卷,回收問卷400份,回收率達95.23%,剔除無效問卷20份後,有效問卷為380份,有效問卷率為95.00%。所得資料以平均數、標準差、t考驗、單因子變異數分析及Pearson積差相關進行資料分析。
依據分析結果,本研究獲致以下結論:
一、國中英語教師專業成長現況具有中上程度的水準。
二、國中英語教師教學效能現況具有中上程度的水準。
三、不同背景變項國中英語教師在專業成長整體與各層面,除教育背
景、服務年資及學校規模外並無差異。
四、國中英語教師教學效能受學校規模影響而有所差異。
五、國中英語教師專業成長程度越高,其教師教學效能情形越佳。
A Study of the Relationship between Junior High School English Teacher s’ Professional Growth and Teaching Effectiveness

The purpose of this study is to realize the current situation of the professional growth and teaching effectiveness of English teachers in junior high school in Taichung County and analyze the relationship of the two. Based on the result, raising suggestions for the reference of educational administrative organizations, junior high schools, English teachers, and future research. The information for this research is collected through literature analysis and questionnaires. The objects of the questionnaires are mainly from 51junior high schools, 496 English teachers in Taichung County. The research tool is “questionnaires of professional growth and teaching effectiveness of English teachers in junior high school in Taichung County”. The analysis of the data collection is in accordance with Average, Standard Deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation.
The results of the study are as follows:
1.The professional growth of the junior high school English teachers is above average. English teachers consider that English profession knowledge is the best among the four dimensions of professional growth investigated.
2. The teaching effectiveness of the junior high school English teachers is above average. English teachers consider that instruction planning is the best among the four dimensions of teaching effectiveness investigated.
3. The current situation of the professional growth of English teachers in junior high school is significantly different among the following teachers’ background variables: background, teaching experience, and school location.
4. The current situation of the teaching effectiveness of English teachers in junior high school is significantly different among the following school location.
5. There are significant correlated between English teachers professional growth and teaching effectiveness.
Based on conclusion, the suggestions are raised for educational administrative organizations, junior high schools, English teachers, and future academic research.
