本研究之目的在於一、探討台中市國民中學體育科教師專業發展現況與專業發展需求之情形。二、比較不同背景變項之台中市國民中學體育科教師在專業發展現況與專業發展需求之差異情形。三、探討台中市國民中學體育科教師之專業發展現況與專業發展需求之相關。本研究以問卷調查法來收集所需資料,問卷包含:一、個人基本資料;二、教師專業發展實際現況與需求程度量表。

本研究以台中市國民中學之體育科教師為研究對象,並以隨機抽樣方式來進行問卷調查,共計施測26所學校,發放150份問卷,回收問卷為131份,回收有效問卷131,有效回收率為87.33%。資料處理採描述統計、獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析及皮爾遜積差相關。

本研究主要結果為:一、台中市國民中學體育科教師之整體專業發展現況、及需求程度得分情形在中上程度;二、是否擔任教練在整體專業發展現況上達顯著差異;三、擔任不同職務在課程與評量之專業發展需求達顯著差異;四、台中市國民中學體育科教師專業發展現況與專業發展需求達顯著正相關。

本論文根據上述研究結果,提出了對教育行政機關、學校以及未來進一步研究的建議,以做為持續推動教師專業發展的參考依據。

Abstract

The purposes of the present study are : (I) to probe into the status of physical education teachers’ professional development of Junior High Schools in Taichung City and the requirements of professional development. (II) to compare the differences among selected demographic variables of professional development needs of junior high school physical education teachers in Taichung City. (III) to analyze the relationships among professional development needs of junior high school physical education teachers in Taichung city. Two questionnaires designed by the author were utilized for data collection including (A) personal information sheet; (B) the current status and needed measurement form of the teachers’ professional development.

The random samples came from physical education teachers from twenty-six junior high schools in Taichung City. The samples were from 150 teachers. From the survey returned, 131 were coded. The response rate was 87.33%. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson Product-Moment correlation were computed for data analysis.

The results indicated that (I) the range of scores in the current status and needed degree of professional development needs in physical education teachers in Taichung City are above middle level; (II) the significant differences were found on the current physical education teachers’ professional ability by sport club coach background; (III) the significant differences were found in the curriculum and the evaluation of the professional development needs by performing different job duty ; (IV) the status of physical education teachers’ professional development and the requirements of professional development of Junior High Schools in Taichung City were significantly positively correlated.

According to the results, I present some suggestions, and hope it will promote some improvements in professional development activities for teachers.
