摘要: 本研究旨在瞭解國民中學單親家庭學生自我概念、失敗忍受力與生活適應的現況;探討不同背景變項間的差異情形;分析單親國中學生自我概念、失敗忍受力與生活適應的相關情形;最後探討國中單親家庭學生自我概念及失敗忍受力對生活適應的預測力。
本研究採問卷調查法,以台中縣550位單親家庭國中學生為研究對象,以描述統計、t考驗、單因子變異數分析、皮爾森積差相關及多元逐步迴歸分析等方法進行統計分析。
本研究得到以下的重要發現:
一、國民中學單親家庭學生之自我概念、失敗忍受力與生活適應在中等以上程度。
二、不同依親對象的單親家庭學生之自我概念、失敗忍受力與生活適應有顯著差異。
三、不同年級的單親家庭學生之自我概念及失敗忍受力有顯著差異。
四、不同性別的國中單親家庭學生失敗忍受力方面,女生高於男生。
五、國民中學單親家庭學生之自我概念、失敗忍受力與生活適應有顯著正相關。
六、國民中學單親家庭學生之自我概念、失敗忍受力對生活適應具有顯著的預測力。
本研究根據文獻分析與研究結果,對教育行政機關、學校行政人員、導師及未來研究分別提出建議。
The main purpose of this study was to understand the current status of self-concept, failure tolerance, and life adjustment of junior high school students from single-parent families; to explore the differences on different background variables; to analyze the correlation among self-concept, failure tolerance, and life adjustment of junior high school students from single- parent families; and to explore the prediction to the life adjustment of junior high school students from single-parent families in self-concept and failure tolerance.
Questionnaires were administered to a sample of 550 junior high school students from single-parent families in Taichung County. The statistical methods used to analyze the data were descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and step-wise multiple regression.
The major findings are as follows:
1. The degrees of self-concept, failure tolerance, and life adjustment of junior high school students from single-parent families are above average.
2. There are significant differences between guardians on self- concept, failure tolerance, and life adjustment of junior high school students from single-parent families.
3. There are significant differences among different grades on self- concept and failure tolerance of junior high school students from single-parent families.
4. There are significant differences between genders on failure tolerance of junior high school students from single-parent families; females are better than males.
5. The correlations among self-concept, failure tolerance, and life adjustment were positively significant.
6. The self-concept and failure tolerance of junior high school students from single-parent families could significantly predict their life adjustment.

Based on these findings, this study offers related suggestions to educational administrators, junior high school teachers, and further studies.
