Title: 國中學生的數學價值及其形成因素的探討

Abstract: 價值是個人信念與態度的核心,對個人的行動具有根本的影響。本研究的目的在探討國中學生的數學價值以及影響他們形成數學價值的因素。一班國二常態班學生為物件蒐集他們對數學的看法,再依其入學後成績,挑出代表成績前段、中段、後段個案的學生各一名進行晤談。個案學生對數學的價值如下:一般教育價值:(一)內部和諧(二)反覆練習(三)高成就學生有成就感、低成就學生有挫折感(四)服從權威(五)升學、考試。數學價值:(一)精確(二)代數可理解、幾何難理解。數學教育價值:(一)開放的解題氣氛(二)教室氣氛開放(三)數學元趣(四)循序漸進(五)數學與生活無關(六)數學元素養(七)訓練。影響學生價值形成的因素有:一、學生的經驗。二、教師的教學。三、教師與同齊之回應。四、學生的需要。五、環境與社會文化之影響。六、課程因素。
The purpose of this study was to explore eight grades’values in mathematics and the factors that affect these values. Data collection included questionnaires, classroom observations and interviews. Questionnaires were used for measuring students’ attitudes about mathematics. Three targets students were selected from the class based on their responses questionnaires and their academic achievement. Classroom observations and interviews were used to investigates target students’values in mathematics and the factors that affect their values. The finding were that students’values in mathematics were more negative than positive. The factors that affect these students’values were discussed also.
