Abstract: 「憲政教育」一詞,係由統攝現代公民社會不可或缺的「民主」與「法治」等兩個重要的理念內涵所共同建構而成的。蓋「民主」是一種生活的方式與態度,而「法治」則是確保此一生活方式與態度的運作原則。
是以,本文擬就公民與憲政教育有關的一些名詞概念,諸如憲法、憲政、憲政主義、乃至憲政教育等,進行必要的統整與釋義;接著,再就憲政教育的重要性、理念內涵,以及加強憲政教育的策略與途徑等問題,做規範性的闡發與論述,庶幾裨益作為現代公民的一份子,值此當前民主深化的時代,皆能願意並知所透過憲政主義的精神實踐,將民主憲政的理念與價值加以弘揚與證成。
“Constitutional education” consists of “democracy” and “rule of laws” which are two indispensable concepts in the modern civil society.
“Democracy” is a life style and attitude; and “rule of laws” make sure the former works properly.
Therefore, in this research, some phrases about citizens and constitutional education will be integrated and expounded, such as constitution, constitutional, constitutionalism, and constitutional education. Then, several issues will be normatively clarified, like the importance of constitutional education, the concept of constitutional education, and the strategy of promoting constitutional education. As a modern citizen in the democratic deepening period, it’s incumbent to understand that the concept and value of democratic constitution can be put into practice through the spirit of constitutionalism.
