Abstract: 本研究目的在於探討高中公民與社會科教師專業發展之現況與需求,比較不同背景變項的差異情形,並探討高中公民與社會科教師專業發展現況與需求間之相關。
本研究係採用問卷調查法,以台灣地區之公立高中公民與社會科教師為研究對象,透過自編之「高中公民與社會科教師專業發展問卷」作為研究工具。採隨機抽樣方式,取得有效問卷204份,有效回收率84.64%。所得資料以百分比、平均數、標準差、t考驗、單因子變異數分析、皮爾森積差相關等統計方法分析。
本研究之主要發現如下:
一、高中公民與社會科教師專業發展現況,整體而言表現良好。
二、高中公民與社會科教師專業發展需求呈現中高度程度。
三、高中公民與社會科教師之背景變項對專業發展現況與需求,在「年齡」及「最高學歷」上均達顯著差異。
四、高中公民與社會科教師專業發展現況與需求呈現顯著正相關。
本論文根據研究發現提出各項建議,供教師、學校、教育行政機關以及未來研究者參考。
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the professional development needs and current status, their relationship and effects of variables of the Civics and Society teachers in senior high schools.
“The Professional Development of the Civics and Society Teachers in Senior High Schools Questionnaire” developed in this study was adopted to make a survey. The study used public senior high school teachers in Taiwan as the primary subject matter. Thus, this study randomly selected samples to give out the questionnaires. The survey was used to examine 241 teachers in 62 public senior high school teachers in Taiwan, with 204 valid questionnaires returned. It had 84.6% of valid questionnaires. Data were analyzed through the statistics like mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and canonical correlation analysis.
The following results are reached:
1. Generally speaking, the current status of the Civics and Society teachers’ professional development in senior high schools performs above average.
2. The professional development needs of the Civics and Society teachers in senior high schools can be located between middle and high levels.
3. The needs and current status of the Civics and Society teachers’ professional development are significantly different in terms of the teachers’ demographic variables such as age and the highest educational level.
4. There is a significant correlation between the current status of the senior high Civics and Society teachers’ professional development and the needs.
As a conclusion, the study results serve as references for the Civics and Society teachers, the senior high schools, the educational administrative organizations and the future academic research.
