摘要: 本研究旨在探討國小英語教師教學現況,並比較「學生評鑑」與「教師自評」之差異情形。本研究採分層隨機抽樣方式,依地區抽取彰化縣內共15所學校參與施測。以抽取到學校的英語科教師(共23位)及其任教班級學生(共977位)為研究樣本。所得資料將以描述性統計及階層線性模式等統計方式以回答研究問題。
本研究獲得下列幾項結論:
一、國小英語科教師教學「學生評鑑」與「教師自評」之結果均達中等以上的滿意程度,且教師對自我教學評價顯著高於學生感受。
二、不同英語教師教授的班級於學生評鑑教師結果有顯著差異。
三、個人階層中,學生不同先前興趣及不同英語科學習成效於學生評鑑教師結果有顯著影響力,以學生先前興趣對學生評鑑結果的影響最大。
四、總體階層中,僅教師教學年資對第一層自變項對學生評鑑教師得分有預測力存在。
本研究根據以上結論提出建議,提供國小英語科教師、學校、教育相關機構及後續研究之參考。
A Study of Teaching Evaluation of English Teachers in Elementary Schools—Applications to HLM
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to explore and compare the result of students’ evaluation of teaching performance with the self-evaluation of teachers. The questionnaires were sampled from the students and teachers of elementary schools in Chang-Hua county. Totally, 23 elementary English teachers and 977 students who were from one of each teacher’s own class took the questionnaire and data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's product-moment correlation, t-test and HLM. The results of this study were described as the following.1.The result of students’ evaluation for teacher performance and the self-evaluation of teachers of elementary schools in English is upper medium satisfaction and the result of self-evaluation is higher than the result of student evaluation.; 2. The discrepancy of students’ evaluation for teacher performance among different classes is significant. ; 3. The predictive power of two variables of level-1, prior interest and levels of difficulty for students’ evaluation are significant.; 4. The predictive power of variables of level-2, years of experience in teaching is significant. The conclusion and suggestions are for further study.
