The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships among teachers’ work stress, work burnout, resilience and well-being in junior high schools. Questionnaires were implemented to a sample of 771 junior high school teachers in central Taiwan. The collected data were analyzed and structural equation modeling was used to validate the model fit of hypothesized model. The results indicated that junior high school teachers perceived an intermediate level on teachers' work stress, a low-intermediate level on teachers' work burnout, a high-intermediate level on teachers' resilience, and a high-intermediate level on teachers' well-being. Second, teachers' resilience had the complete mediating effect between work stress and well-being. The teachers’ work stress in junior high schools had a negative effect on resilience, and resilience had a positive effect on well-being. Third, teachers' work burnout had the complete mediating effect between work stress and well-being. The teachers’ work stress in junior high schools had a positive effect on work burnout, and work burnout had a negative effect on well-being. Fourth, there were no differences on teachers’ work stress, work burnout and well-being in genders, but female teachers had higher resilience than male teachers. Based on the results of the research, the implicateds of there findings were discussed and suggestions were provided for the institute of educational administration, junior high schools and future studies.
